The Minnamurra Hall - Facility Hire
The Minnamurra Hall is a multi-functional community hall. It has a flat timber floor and a stage making it suitable for theatrical touring productions, concerts, seminars, exhibitions, dances and low impact sport, e.g. gymnatisics. The hall is relatively inexpensive to hire and there is ample parking available in the school car parks.
There are a number of staging alternatives in this warm aesthetically pleasing environment. First, the hall is a fully equiped theatre hosting a proscenium arch stage with a capacity to seat 700. Alternatively, the hall can be converted into a more intimate theatre space with a seating capacity of 200. As well, the hall can be used as a large open space.
St Philip’s College welcomes the use of The Minnamurra Hall and every effort will be made to accommodate user requests. Generally the hall will be available after 4pm Monday to Friday on school days, and for longer periods at weekends and during school holidays. Use of the hall during school hours is open to negotiation.
The types of functions and events to be staged in the hall by any group must be consistent with the nature of a Uniting Church School, i.e., inoffensive to young adults such as those resident at the College.
