Ms Catherine Vero

Catherine has lived in Alice Springs for over 14 years and is committed to the community and life here. She is a principal engineer with local leading advisory and technical consultancy firm Ekistica and has over 25 years’ experience as a water engineer, specialising in strategic planning and risk management for water treatment. She has worked all over Australia and in the UK and Europe and until recently she ran her own engineering consulting business.

Highlights of her time in Alice Springs have included community consultation work on remote communities related to water projects, owning the Alice Springs Cinema and the opportunity to participate in the rich variety of Alice Springs’ community life. Catherine will bring her commercial experience and understanding of governance, risk and business sustainability to the board as well as a strong interest in building community and ensuring education supports kids and teachers to be the best they can be.
